HRP(Human Resource Planning) essentially involves forecasting manpower needs, assessing manpower supply and matching demand-supply factors through manpower related programs. The planning process is influenced by overall organizational objectives and the environment of business. Following diagram1.1 illustrates the planning process in detail along with two possible outcomes Surplus or Shortage. Browsing of Environmental factors refers to the systematic monitoring of the outside forces influencing the organization. Managers monitor several forces but the following are relevant for HRP.
